The Region of Sicily has a special autonomy, regulated by the Regional Statute, entrusting the Regional Assembly with legislative power. The Assembly has an exclusive competence in a number of matters, namely vocational training, farming, industry, trade, fishing and tourism. Moreover, the Region of Sicily is divided into different departments, including the Department for Education and Vocational Training, the body responsible for Education at all levels, vocational training, school and university assistance, scientific research, school and university building provisions.

KMOP – which translates to Family & Childcare Centre – is a Greek non-profit organization with more than 35 years of field-based experience in providing integrated support services for various groups at risks. Based in Athens, KMOP has managed to establish during the last decades a strong presence not only in Greece (Attica, Central Macedonia, East Macedonia and Thrace, Peloponnese, Central Greece and Thessaly) but also internationally (Kosovo, Egypt, FYROM, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kyrgyz Republic etc.), focusing primarily on underprivileged areas and regions.

Juhoud for Community and Rural development is a Palestinian non-governmental, nonprofit organization founded in 2003. Juhoud is committed to support community development in marginalized rural areas through the promotion of economic development civic engagement, and community education and training. Since its inception, Juhoud has contributed in improving the social and economic situation of many Palestinian families through investing the available local resources. Juhoud also worked and is working on promoting the participation of young people in their local communities and creating job opportunities for them.
