The Country Director purpose is to manage and coordinate the team in productive, motivated and appropriate way; lead and supervise existing projects, develop new programs and coordinate operations in Lebanon for GVC within Emergency, LRRD and Developmental framework. He/she must be willing to travel extensively to conduct regular site visits for all programs, develop new working opportunities, development of sound relations with key players.
Every year, since 2009, The Daughters for Life Foundation has offered bright and talented Grade 12 students and recent graduates the opportunity to obtain full scholarships to come and study in selected universities in Canada and the United States.
This year, the Foundation is planning to award 10-15 scholarships to more talented young women. For the academic year 2016/2017, the available scholarships will be at seven tertiary institutions. Three are based in Canada. They are: Collége Boréal, in Sudbury, Ontario;Wilfrid Laurier University, in Waterloo, Ontario; and Sault College, in Sault St. Marie, Ontario. The four colleges in the United States are: Manhattanville College, Purchase, New York (state); New College of Florida, in Sarasota, Florida;The University of Rochester, Rochester, New York (state); and Eastern Mennonite University, in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
She Entrepreneurs is a leadership programme for young emerging women social entrepreneurs in the Middle East, North Africa and Sweden. The programme aims to give the participants innovative tools for sustainable change while seeking to create an active network of women changemakers.
She Entrepreneurs runs for one year, with participants meeting for ten days in Sweden and one week in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. In between the modules, the participants work on their own initiative locally, coached by group mentors over digital platforms.
The participants are social entrepreneurs from Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, Palestine, Yemen and Sweden who address social challenges and strive for positive social change through initiatives based on entrepreneurial principles. During the programme participants are provided with inspiration, knowledge and tools to develop a business idea for sustainable change that they have already started working on in their country or region. Through the programme, participants are also offered the opportunity to meet leading social and business entrepreneurs as well as become a part of an active network of women social entrepreneurs that supports personal and professional development.

Applications under this call may be submitted in only one of the following lots:
- Projects contributing at strengthening the role of culture at local, national and regional level, in cooperation with other stakeholders in the public sphere (e.g. organisations active in the social, educational or environmental fields, youth and cultural centres, schools, universities, libraries, local authorities, etc.). Projects funded under this category may include any art form or cultural discipline (e.g. performing arts, visual arts, music, literature, heritage, new media, etc.), or several of them simultaneously.
- Projects aiming to enhance the institutional and managerial capacities of cultural operators and artistic organisations, and to promote their visibility and their role in public space at the local, national and regional levels.

It accompanies participants in building up long-term working relationships, international collaboration skills, professional management knowledge and strategic networks with partners from Europe and its neighbourhood. The programme was co-created by the European Cultural Foundation (ECF) and MitOst in 2011 and so far has supported more than 200 cultural organisations from over 100 cities inside and outside the EU.
Tandem Europe – the most recent edition among Tandem programme family – is tailor-made for cultural managers who work on creative solutions that make social innovation possible throughout the EU. The programme builds on a new strategic partnership between ECF, MitOst and foundations from Italy (Fondazione Cariplo), Greece (Stavros Niarchos Foundation) and Germany (Robert Bosch Stiftung).
